Don’t Save the WORLD. Save the DAY!

Hey, good morning my friend! And it is a good morning. I've been up since 5:00. I get up early and I meet with God and I just indulge myself. I love my mornings You can see the sun's breaking out. Aaaa! You know, it’s getting bright. It’s 7:00 now.

As I as I meet with God I always have this sense of just bursting. There's so much I want to do. There's so much I want to say and I have so many things that I am longing to make happen that I can feel pretty overwhelmed.

And I can, you know, leave my time with God and start feel like I'm stepping into a blender or something. There's just so much going on! There are so many things to do, and I feel so overwhelmed. And and I know that's wrong.

I know that some of it is just my own thinking that I can save the world or something like that. I’m trying to remember that I'm not trying to save the world. I'm just trying to save the day.

In other words, I'm not trying to fix everything in one day or to do all the things I’m longing to do in one day. I can only do the things I can do today.

So I don't know what your day looks like. I don't know what's in your heart. But I'm guessing there's more in your heart then you can do with this day.

So hey guys! How about if we agree today to just do what we can today.  Let’s take Jesus's words to heart and “not worry about tomorrow.” Let' allow tomorrow to take care of itself and believe that God can save the world. All I need to do is look at my day and invite God's presence into it and let God save the day.

So anyway, I hope that hits home. See you guys on Saturday!

Sufficient unto the day is the trouble in it

    Is that in the Bible?

The point is to NOT worry, but to trust His care….even when lost in the forest,

Will time be linear in heaven?

Doesn’t the Bible say that Jesus was the lamb slain from the foundation of the world?

Right! that wonderful passage in the Sermon on the Mount: Matthew 6:33-34

“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Yes! I suspect one feature of the coming age will be a new perspective on time. It’s speculation, but the “Lamb slain” verse is fascinating. May sound weird, but I’m sort of excited to die. (Don’t worry. I’m not in a hurry.)
