Your Turn: Trust

For several months now, I have been sharing my thoughts on Jesus’ core teachings. I would love to hear yours! (Share your thoughts in the box below.)

  • What is Trust to you?
  • Is there a time in your life when you have been forced to trust?
  • Are there any Scriptures that are meaningful to you when you think of trust?
  • Is there any art, poetry, or music that speak to you in your brokenness?

Don’t be overwhelmed! Share as much or little as you like. I look forward to hearing from you!

P.S. If this is the first time you post to the website I have to approve your comment. It’s one of those annoying things that must be done to stop soulless spammers from taking over the universe.

Trust is Faith, you can’t see it however you know it’s there and is working. It is the little voice in my head.

I’ve been thinking a lot about that little voice. I think it’s actually the Voice. The thing I most need to listen to in spite of what I see. Thanks!

Trust to me Is believing God Is Who He Is and what His Word says, that He Is for me and not against me. Four years ago I was forced to trust Him with everything and surrendered everything to Him.
Today I still have big issues sometimes, trusting people. But today I get to trust God more than I’ve ever trusted anything. A Scripture that I lean on is Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will direct your path. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for the good for those who love God and are called according to His purposes.
Today my identity is found in Christ and I have found freedom living my life for His Glory.
Many, many songs speak deeply to me. One on the top of my list right now is Take Courage

Thanks for the song! That was a new one to me. “He’s in the waiting.” Yes! I also like your observation that trusting people can be much harder than trusting God. Somehow trusting God and trusting people are related. I’m puzzling over that one…
